Sometimes, the puck carrier is the player you should be looking out for.
In a thrilling contest between the Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets, Jacob Trouba was looking to add to his 524 career hits. The opportunity arose when Jamie Benn tried to cut into the Jets’ defensive end. With Benn in his crosshairs, the 23-year-old defenseman stepped up. Unfortunately for Trouba, the play didn’t go as planned.
Benn steamrolled right through Trouba, knocking him flat on his back and clearly shaking up the young defender. Trouba struggled to regain his balance and eventually left the game with an injury.

Reports are saying that Trouba suffered an upper-body injury and is listed as day-to-day.
Maybe the opposition will think twice when attempting to flatline Jamie Benn.
